CLINICAL EDUCATOR-CReST - (T237860)Description 

To plan and implement learning experiences, and to provide instruction, coaching, and evaluation of clinical research staff and faculty. To plan and implement learning experiences, and provide instruction, coaching, and evaluation of Joint Task Force Research competencies in all Clinical Research Support Enterprise (CReST) training programs. To collaborate with research teams in the development and implementation of planned clinical learning experiences. To mentor staff in clinical research learning experiences, teaching in planned clinical skills lab sessions, validation of attendees mastery of required skills, and the preparation and set-up for case-based simulation experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports program development, educational content creation, and day-to-day administrative activities. 
  • Assists with identifying program goals and objectives aligned with established priorities and helps track progress toward defined outcomes.
  • Coordinates and supports components of CReST education projects, including maintaining project plans and timelines, assisting with educational activities, and tracking progress and outcomes under guidance.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and ongoing support of research training programs for new research personnel and continuing education offerings for existing staff
  • Coordinates logistics for CReST educational programs, including scheduling, preparation, execution, and evaluation activities. 
  • Supports educational conferences, meetings, and training events by managing calendars, coordinating speakers and facilitators, and preparing materials.
  • Collects and compiles programmatic and operational data to support research teams and leadership. 
  • Assists with analyzing evaluation results and gathering feedback to support quality improvement efforts.
  • Provides guidance and support to staff involved in clinical research training programs. 
  • Assists with drafting program materials, developing learning objectives, and preparing documentation for Continuing Medical Education (CME) applications.
  • Manages assigned tasks and projects, prioritizing work effectively to meet timelines and objectives. 
  • Monitors and responds to inquiries received through the CReST education inbox and routes issues as appropriate.
  • Follows and supports compliance with departmental, School of Medicine, and UAB policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 Salary Range: $55,180 - $89,670

 Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
