The Mobile Workshop Mechanic will be responsible for providing on-site vehicle inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and minor repair services at customer locations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, safe driving skills, and the ability to operate independently and manage a mobile workshop vehicle across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs at customer locations.
- Identify vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Carry out basic mechanical and electrical repairs using mobile workshop tools and equipment.
- Conduct battery checks, battery replacement, oil and filter replacement, brake inspections, tyre-related services, and other minor repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection findings, and job completion records.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumables are properly maintained and available in the mobile workshop.
- Keep the mobile workshop vehicle clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
- Follow all UAE road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Travel to customer locations and provide timely on-site assistance.
- Maintain professional communication and customer service standards when interacting with customers.
- Escalate major or complex repairs to the workshop or technical team when required.
- Support emergency roadside assistance and breakdown-related services, when applicable.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum 2β3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic; experience in a mobile workshop or roadside assistance is an advantage.
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
- Must be familiar with UAE roads, major highways, routes, and locations.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common vehicle faults independently.
- Good knowledge of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and under different weather conditions.
- Must follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with multiple vehicle brands and models.
- Knowledge of OBD/diagnostic tools.
- Experience in roadside assistance or mobile vehicle repair.
- Basic knowledge of automotive AC systems, batteries, tyres, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
