Foreman / Assistant Supervisor-Infrastructure Maintenance Team (Civil / Railway Protection) (Ref: 260000LI)

Responsibilities

• For Civil Team
   

  • Assist in supervising a team of technical staff and contractor staff to carry out civil assets and the associated trackside civil facilities maintenance works for the operating railway

  • Prepare maintenance programmes and work orders as well as review method statements

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of works

   

• For Railway Protection Team
   

  • Carry out inspection at the construction sites within the railway protection areas and along the railway lines to ensure that railway structures and installation are adequately protected

  • Compile daily reports on the progress and impact of the construction activities to the railway

  • Perform the role of Competent Person and Lookout-person to protect relevant parties working within the railway premises

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering, Building Studies or a related discipline

• A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience

• Possession of Technically Competent Person T1 (Minor Works) Certificate

• Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving licence class 1 and 2 is preferred

• Sound knowledge of civil or structural defects investigation and rectification, as well as experience in landscape maintenance or civil engineering works would be an advantage

Remarks

• Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered

• Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations

• The above position offers a Joining Bonus of $12,000, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme

• Fresh or recent engineering graduates with strong passion to develop career in railway will also be considered for the Operations Engineering Associate Programme and will be groomed as engineering professionals
