Assistant Metro Credit Union Manager (External Job Title: Assistant Manager – Finance and Operations) (Ref:260000PB)

Metro Credit Union (MCU) is a staff credit union registered under the Credit Unions Ordinance of Hong Kong. Having successfully safeguarded members’ shares since 1980, MCU is now providing financial assistance to over 14,000 members in MTR Corporation.
Reporting to the MCU Manager who is the Head of MCU Office and acting as the deputy head, you will work with a team to support the operations of MCU.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing investment management activities of the MCU, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to daily operations and members engagement
• Support the preparation of financial and investment reporting and analysis for financial performance monitoring
• Coordinate with bankers or consultants to manage the investment portfolios of MCU
• Assist in formulating and implementing management strategies to enhance the productivity of MCU and protect the interests of MCU and its members
• Enhance the branding of MCU by proactively engaging members and exploring new products and services to meet their needs
• Plan and coordinate working procedures, and devise ways to streamline processes
• Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements (e.g. Credit Unions Ordinance, AEOI, FATCA, AML, etc.)
• Maintain active communication with relevant government departments, certification bodies and other credit unions to understand the changes in statutory and compliance requirements
• Support annual budget exercise for MCU
• Work with IT department to develop and deploy MCU’s e-platform (e.g. mobile app) to enhance productivity and members engagement
   

Requirements

• Degree in Finance / Business Administration or in a related discipline
• A minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience in financial institutions, credit unions or similar bodies, or familiar with financial and facilities management principles
• CPA or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred
• Excellent communication and stakeholders management skills
• Strong in leadership and decision making, with the ability of multi-tasking and prioritization
• Experience with system enhancement/implementation project or process digitalization is an advantage

Remarks

• Candidates with lower qualifications or less experience will be considered for the Senior MCU Executive position
