About Us
STARK is a European defence technology company building the next generation of unmanned systems. We design, develop and manufacture software-defined, mass-scalable and cost-effective platforms that give NATO operators a decisive edge in highly contested environments. We are focused on delivering deployable, high-performance capability — not future promises. In a time of rising threats, our work strengthens the technological edge of NATO Allies and their partners.
Your mission
Your mission is to fly our multirotor platforms flawlessly under real-world, high-visibility conditions, at home in Germany and internationally. You aren't just operating a quadcopter; you are the live proof of what our systems can do, and the first impression an audience forms of STARK's engineering.
Responsibilities
Demonstration Flight Execution
- Plan and fly demonstration profiles on multirotor / quadcopter platforms with high precision and repeatability in front of live audiences.
- Represent STARK's capabilities credibly and professionally to customers, partners, and military stakeholders during demonstrations and briefings.
- Adapt flight profiles quickly to changing site conditions, audiences, and short-notice requests without compromising safety.
- Travel frequently to national and international demonstration sites, ranges, trade events, and customer locations.
- Set up, configure, and pack down the demonstration kit independently, often on tight schedules and in unfamiliar environments.
- Coordinate on site with event teams, customer representatives, and range control to ensure smooth, safe execution.
- Perform pre-flight configurations, control-link verifications, and full functional system checks before every demonstration.
- Lead airspace monitoring and deconfliction, and respond decisively to anomalies in line with established safety protocols and EASA requirements.
- Feed observations from the field back into flight procedures, demonstration scripts, and platform improvements.
Qualifications
Experience & Certifications
- Valid EASA A1/A3 (and optional A2) Remote Pilot Certificates.
- Valid radio operator certificate (e.g., BZF) or willingness to obtain one.
- Proven hands-on piloting experience on multirotor / quadcopter platforms, including manual and GCS-assisted flight.
- Must be a citizen of a NATO member state (due to export control and security regulations).
- High willingness to travel nationally and internationally, with flexible availability around demonstration schedules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
- Quick comprehension and a dynamic, adaptable working style — you get up to speed on new systems and situations fast.
- Confident, composed presence in front of audiences and stakeholders.
- Dynamic: You thrive under changing conditions and short-notice requests.
- Representative: You understand that in a demonstration, you are STARK.
- Precise: You deliver the same clean, controlled flight every single time, whatever the pressure.
