Your Key Responsibilities :
- Analysis and elicitation of requirements on electric/hybrid car powertrains.
- Decomposition of system requirements to subsystem/component level, incl. inverter, eMotor, gearbox, parking, decoupling, shifting etc. to achieve an optimal behavior of the complete system.
- Development of system architectures considering the functional concepts also specification of system elements and its interfaces.
- Explanation of the system architecture to the experts on the customer side.
- Application and optimization of system engineering process, tools and methods based on A-SPICE criteria.
- Support of system integration and system test.
- Support for FMEA, FTA and Functional Safety Analysis.
- Support of the project management at effort & cost calculation, change and risk analysis.
Your Qualifications:
- Study of electrical engineering or mechatronics with a Master, Dipl.-Ing. or Dr.-Ing. (PhD)- degree in the area of electrical powertrains and their control.
- At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry with focus on vehicle powertrain system development, incl. calculation, simulation, architecture development and system integration.
- In-depth knowledge of xEV powertrain and its architecture and the physics within and between inverter, motor and gearbox.
- Good knowledge in requirements engineering with PTC Integrity or DOORS.
- Good knowledge in the area of model based system architecture with SysML (Enterprise Architect) and System simulation (MATLAB/Simulink).
- Good knowledge in functional safety according the ISO26262.
- Knowledge of parking lock system/ shifting system/ decoupling system would be preferred.
- Experience in coordination of engineering teams, preferably experience in leading technical problem resolving.
- High social competence, precise and self-motivated working manner.
- Organizational skill and creativity.
- Language: Fluent English in written and spoken form, German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
