Student Assistant, Global Strategy

As the new Student Assistant, Global Strategy, you will be part of our Strategy & Execution team and work on high-impact, cross-functional projects that help drive STG's strategy forward. You will work directly with the Head of Strategy and the rest of the team, partnering closely with business leaders and subject matter experts across the organization. Your contributions will support strategic initiatives, Executive Board decision-making, and ultimately help STG deliver our strategic ambitions.  This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure across functions and markets, and play an active role in shaping the future of STG. The role provides valuable exposure to business analysis, strategic projects, and cross-functional collaboration.   

 

 

What your day will look like  

The Student Assistant will support the Strategy & Execution team across a wide range of projects and initiatives. Example projects could include: 

  • Analysing market dynamics to recommend how STG should act in different markets;
  • Building an internal sharepoint site to communicate our strategy;
  • Reviewing our product portfolio to identify growth opportunities;
  • Mapping processes and identifying data sources to create a new KPI dashboard;
  • Researching how to increase business efficiency with new tools (such as GenAI);

Your role will vary from being highly autonomous to collaborating closely with others, depending on the task. Your tasks will often include: 

  • Conducting desk research;
  • Data cleaning, validation, and analysis (primarily using Excel and PowerBI);
  • Interviewing experts and stakeholders;
  • Preparing charts and slides to visualize your analysis;
  • Supporting workshops with logistics, note-taking and facilitation;

You will join a community of student assistants and gain access to continuous learning opportunities, such as LinkedIn Learning and workshops, to develop business, technical, and leadership skills alongside your day-to-day responsibilities.    

 

What you’ll bring   

  • Currently in the first year of a master’s degree based in Copenhagen:
    • Your studies are likely to focus on Management, Business, Economics or Marketing but could be other areas if you have a strong interest in business strategy and transformation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: 
    • Including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working: 
    • Project management experience is a plus.
  • A learning and growth mindset:
    • This role will sometimes take you outside your comfort zone to take on new challenges, with support from your team to learn through hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to deliver independently
  • Experience using GenAi tools to accelerate and improve your work
    • Including effective prompting, iterative refinement and critical evaluation of AI outputs 
  • Reliable, proactive and professional, fluent in English  
    • Experience from an internship, student job, or analytical projects is a plus
