Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin August 2026, or soon thereafter. Not to exceed one year.
Duties:
- Assists the Head Coach and Softball Program with:
- a. Developing a program that will be competitive in the Pacific West Conference.
- b. Planning, scheduling, and conducting team practices and workouts.
- c. Managing all aspects of home contests, including coordination of facilities and officials.
- Responsible for ordering, keeping inventory and maintenance of uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
- Responsible for field maintenance and field improvement.
- Responsible for completing and submitting all required compliance forms and timely submission of CARA and recruit logs.
- Know and abide by the rules, regulations and policies of the University of Hawaii, the Athletics Department, the Pacific West Conference, and the NCAA.
- Perform other duties/functions as needed.
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field; or any equivalent combination of education and/or coaching experience provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Two (2) years of experience in coaching Softball at the collegiate level.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
- Prior NCAA DII coaching experience.
- Experience coaching Softball at the collegiate level in an Assistant Coach position.
