Job Description
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a designated portfolio of corporate clients, understanding their business objectives and financial requirements.
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling UOB products and services (e.g., trade finance, cash management, treasury, corporate finance).
* Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of client businesses to assess creditworthiness and propose appropriate lending and investment solutions.
* Prepare and present credit proposals, ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
* Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit risk, legal, and operations teams, to deliver seamless client service.
* Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
* Achieve individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Ensure compliance with all relevant banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
* Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in corporate banking or relationship management, with a proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients in the Real Estate.
* Strong understanding of corporate financial products and services (e.g., loans, trade finance, cash management, treasury).
* Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and credit assessment skills.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at senior levels.
* Results-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
