As a Salesforce Specialist at Koch, you will support and enhance Salesforce capabilities for Georgia-Pacific business teams. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions that support business requirements across Sales, Service, Experience, Commerce, and Marketing Cloud functions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Salesforce development experience, a good understanding of platform best practices, and the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver reliable and business-aligned solutions.
Our Team
This role will be part of the Salesforce technology team supporting Georgia-Pacific, with primary alignment to the Building Products and Consumer Products Group business units. The team partners closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to build, enhance, and support Salesforce applications that enable business operations and improve user experience.
You will work in a collaborative environment where developers, administrators, business users, and other IT teams come together to solve problems, strengthen integrations, and continuously improve Salesforce solutions.
What You Will Do
- Develop and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Aura Components, and Lightning pages to support evolving business needs.
- Partner with Salesforce Administrators and business stakeholders to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Design and implement Salesforce integrations using APIs and collaborate with other IT/development teams to connect Salesforce with enterprise systems such as SAP, SAP CPI, Marketing Cloud, and other business applications.
- Support Salesforce platform enhancements while ensuring adherence to Salesforce best practices, coding standards, documentation, security considerations, scalability, and platform limits.
- Write, maintain, and improve test classes and technical documentation for custom Salesforce development.
- Take ownership of release cycles, including implementing and deploying new enhancements and updates to existing Salesforce applications and code.
- Work with large data sets and apply Salesforce development best practices, including bulkification and performance-conscious development.
- Gather requirements, interpret technical specifications, and present solutions clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing code, processes, and Salesforce platform capabilities.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in Salesforce development with hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce platform development.
- Experience working with Salesforce clouds such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver Salesforce solutions.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs, integrations, and enterprise application connectivity.
- Experience writing technical specifications, maintaining code documentation, and developing/maintaining test classes for custom Salesforce development.
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with additional Salesforce clouds such as Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Agentforce
- Additional Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, or JavaScript Developer I.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP, SAP CPI, Marketing Cloud, or other enterprise business applications.
- Experience working with large data volumes, performance optimisation, and bulkification concepts in Salesforce.
- Exposure to other technologies or languages such as XML, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, C++, or SOAP-based web services.
- Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and active participation in the Salesforce community.
