Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Engineer with 0-1 years of experience in Manual Testing to join our Product & Engineering team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about product quality, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience testing web-based SaaS applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless user experience and high-quality product releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through their lifecycle.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before production releases.
- Test new features and enhancements across different browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and release testing activities.
- Maintain testing documentation and provide quality reports for releases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in Manual Testing of web applications or SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
- Good understanding of browser compatibility and responsive testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with automation testing concepts will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in B2B SaaS products is preferred.
