The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Chiefs of the Cornea and Retina Divisions. This position coordinates a wide range of academic, educational, and departmental activities, including the preparation of faculty appointment, advancement, and promotion documentation; development of presentations and reports; scheduling and coordination of meetings with faculty and trainees; and the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes. The position conducts research and compiles information related to the divisions' missions in clinical care, research, education, and community service to support strategic initiatives and decision-making. The role also assists with the planning and execution of faculty development programs, networking events, educational activities, and other special projects that advance the divisions' academic and professional objectives.

Salary Range: $32.20 – 51.36 Hourly
Job Qualifications

Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five (5) years minimum Business operations and/or administration experience
- Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems: formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives
- Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documents
- Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with university-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written
Preferred:
- Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education
