Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Controls Engineer for our internal office in Abu Dhabi Due to the nature, the position will be fully office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly invoicing process for assigned PMC projects
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Prepare monthly CVR and PMR, including revenue, gross margin, accruals, and provisions
  • Monitor project financial performance and analyze variances against budget and forecast
  • Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts and revenue projections
  • Maintain invoicing registers and ensure timely invoice submission and payment follow-up
  • Process and administer financial transactions within SAP/Oracle and other company financial systems
  • Coordinate contractual insurance requirements, including Workmen’s Compensation, Professional Indemnity, and Third-Party Liability
  • Coordinate PBG requirements, renewals, and tracking
  • Maintain and administer the PMC Contract Schedule of Fees and commercial rates
  • Support contract amendments, variation orders, and commercial change management
  • Reconcile manpower and commercial data to ensure accurate client billing
  • Prepare commercial reports, dashboards, and KPIs
  • Coordinate with Finance, Commercial, HR, Payroll, and Project Teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain commercial records and support internal and external audits
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation measures
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and client financial processes

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in Project Controls within EPC, construction, engineering consultancy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost control, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for project scheduling and control.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing project schedules, S-curves, resource loading, cash flow forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Familiarity with project control methodologies, earned value management (EVM), KPI tracking, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to review project progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles, contractual requirements, and change management processes
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently in an office-based environment while supporting multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other reporting tools is an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal; Arabic language skills are a plus.
