As part of our continued growth in Thailand and Southeast Asia, we are expanding our engineering capabilities to support a growing portfolio of hydropower, renewable energy, power generation, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
To strengthen our Hydropower team, we are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer to join our international team based in Bangkok. In this role, you will contribute to the hydraulic design and analysis of hydraulic structures and water conveyance systems for hydropower projects across Southeast Asia, working alongside experienced specialists throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Job Description
- Hydraulic design of water conveyance systems and hydraulic structures for hydropower projects.
- Perform hydraulic simulations, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and hydraulic transient analyses, using industry-standard software.
- Prepare hydraulic calculations, technical reports, and engineering design documentation.
- Support feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, design reviews, and other technical consulting assignments for hydropower projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure high-quality technical deliverables.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to Project Managers and clients as required.
- Occasional travel to project sites within Southeast Asia may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Interest in hydraulic engineering and hydropower projects.
- Experience with CFD software and other hydraulic modelling tools is considered an advantage.
- Programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB or similar) are considered an advantage.
- Good report writing and technical documentation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an international multidisciplinary team.
