Under the direction of the Corporations Managing Director, responsible for monitoring compliance for the Travis County Corporations; including Travis County Housing Finance Corporation, Travis County Health Facilities Development Corporation, Travis County Capital Industrial Development Corporation, Travis County Development Authority and Travis County Cultural Education Facilities Finance Corporation. Prepares applications, administers, and monitors compliance with grant programs for the Travis County Corporation. Assists in the design and expansion of County economic development activities and the Corporations' programmatic and business activity. Performs research and advanced review and analysis of multiple projects and/or programs.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This is a job classification in the Professional Support job family. This classification is responsible for managing complex projects while simultaneously monitoring compliance on multiple levels. It is distinguished by the responsibility for oversight and maintenance of compliance issues for a department in conformity with Federal, State and Local statutes, policies, procedures, and industry standards. This classification may require a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Examples of duties
- Assists the Corporations Managing Director with policies relating to compliance and grants administration.
- Identifies and is responsible for grant applications related to federal, state and local programs.
- Performs compliance and administration connected to Corporations.
- Research new grants and programs that could benefit Travis County residents through the Corporations and provides recommendations.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on tenant services at multifamily properties funded through the Housing Finance Corporation.
- Prepares reports for the Commissioners Court on compliance, grants, and economic development initiatives that relate to the Corporations.
- Interfaces with TDHCA for grant programs as well as single- and multifamily programs.
- Attends TDHCA Board Meetings, Round Table discussions, etc. as necessary to remain abreast of changes to policy, rules, and the Qualified Allocation Plan.
- Performs tenant file audits at multifamily properties in the Corporation's portfolio to ensure compliance with tenant income and/or rent requirements.
- Prepares reports to the Board on property compliance as well as letters to the property owners and invoices for staff time for reviewing tenant files.
- Reviews Certificate of Continuing Compliance submitted by property management for compliance and accuracy.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning or a directly related field AND three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in compliance monitoring, research, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), state or local grants programs and/or other related experience

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
