Second Grade Teacher, Wirt County Primary Center

POSITION:                             Second Grade Teacher, WCPC

CONTRACT:                         200 Days, 2026-2027 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. WV Professional Teaching Certificate; Meets requirements for certification in K-6 or K-8; Elementary Education
2. Proficient in written and verbal communications
3. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff and community
4. Ability to communicate and work effectively with school administrators, school personnel, and parents
5. Demonstrates organization and management skills
6. Demonstrates ability to work within the school Mission and Core Beliefs 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design and implement appropriate instruction for First Grade students based on the WV College and Career Ready Standards
2. Maintain accurate records on student progress
3. Analyze data and develop individualized instruction for personalized learning
4. Work collaboratively in grade level and cross-curricular teams
5. Implement programs and use instructional technology and resources such as SmartBoards, Ipads, virtual class tools and process, instructional resources, etc.
6. Demonstrate adequate planning and management techniques
7. Maintain information and resources for effective instructional practices
8. Participate in professional growth activities
9. Perform other duties as assigned and as necessary for effective program coordination and implementation

SUPERVISOR:  Primary Center Principal or Assistant Principal

SALARY:  Wirt County Salary Scale for teachers based on degree and years' experience
