Automotive Certification Senior Manager-Malaysia吉隆坡全职海外业务板块职位描述Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Certification Management
1.Take full ownership of product certification for the Malaysia market, including but not limited to Vehicle Type Approval （VTA）, emissions testing, safety compliance, noise and lighting regulations, and the entire certification chain;
2.Proactively respond to supervision and inspections from Malaysia government authorities, ensure full lifecycle compliance, and resolve certification-related regulatory issues promptly.
New Model Launch Certification Project Management
1.Lead certification work for new vehicle models （including the 26/27 Explorer series） entering the Malaysia market – formulate detailed certification plans and timelines;
2.Coordinate internal and external resources （including third-party testing institutions, local partners, and consultants）, track certification project progress, identify potential risks in advance （e.g., regulatory changes, testing slot delays）, and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained on schedule to support market launch without delays.
Product Definition & Regulatory Input
1.Assist the HQ product team in defining product specifications and functional requirements for the Malaysia market – provide professional recommendations on product design, functional configuration, and compliance to ensure products meet both Malaysia certification standards and local market needs （e.g., RHD configuration, localized UI language, charging interface standards）.
Regulatory Monitoring & Policy Analysis
1.Continuously track the latest automotive policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards issued by JPJ, DOE, MITI, and other authorities （e.g., EEV certification, emission regulations, EV safety standards）;
2.Deliver timely regulatory interpretation reports to HQ R&D and product teams, anticipate policy trends and their impact on product planning, and prevent compliance risks caused by regulatory lag.
Certification Amendments & Ongoing Compliance Management
1.Manage certification amendment submissions to JPJ and other authorities when model year upgrades, configuration changes, critical component supplier replacements, or localization initiatives occur – ensure that sold vehicles remain eligible for registration and road use;
2.Maintain and update certification records and technical documentation, ensuring all on-sale models maintain valid certification status.
Government Relations & Industry Network Maintenance
1.Build and maintain key relationships with JPJ, SIRIM, DOE, and other government/certification bodies to improve approval efficiency;
2.Represent the company in Malaysia automotive industry associations （e.g., MAA） meetings and policy discussions, capturing frontier industry intelligence.

1.Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields;
2.Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in automotive product certification, market access, or regulatory compliance, with at least 3 years focused on the Malaysia market – prior team management experience is preferred;
3.Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Malaysia's automotive market access processes, certification requirements, regulations, and standards – familiar with the full JPJ VTA process, EEV certification, emission regulations, and import vehicle compliance policies;
4.Established relationships with senior-level contacts at JPJ, SIRIM, DOE, or other relevant government/certification bodies – able to effectively facilitate certification approval processes; prior work experience in Malaysia's official certification system institutions （e.g., SIRIM QAS） is preferred;
5.Language proficiency: Fluent in both Bahasa Malaysia and English （spoken and written） – able to communicate effectively with Malaysia government officials, local testing institutions, and the HQ team. Chinese is a plus;
6.Strong project management capabilities – able to independently manage multiple high-complexity certification projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and full compliance;
7.Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive thinking – capable of effectively responding to regulatory changes, testing anomalies, and unexpected policy shifts, with strategic-level policy analysis capability;
8.Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and team spirit – able to work closely with cross-functional teams （product, engineering, sales, after-sales） to drive Malaysia market development.投递
