Maintenance Planner: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World
• You will be responsible for the development and execution of detailed maintenance job plans that support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
• You’ll ensure all maintenance work is properly scoped, planned, and resourced prior to execution, enabling high-quality work execution, improved equipment reliability, and minimized downtime.
• You will partner closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and external contractors to ensure all work is planned in compliance with safety, environmental, and reliability standards.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
• Develop detailed job plans for all maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown work. Define scope, required resources, materials, tools, permits, and safety requirements for each job. Ensure job plans include accurate instructions, sequencing, and estimated labor hours. Provide technical input on maintenance methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Improve job plan quality to increase efficiency, reduce rework, and maximize wrench time. Evaluate completed work orders to refine planning accuracy and effectiveness. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintenance execution and reliability.
• Ensure all job plans incorporate safety procedures, environmental requirements, and regulatory compliance standards. Maintain job hazard analyses (JHA) and ensure required permits and controls are included in plans. Support Mechanical Integrity (MI) and Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance through proper planning practices.
• Plan all maintenance work in alignment with production priorities and equipment criticality. Review and prioritize work requests for planning readiness. Coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure work can be executed efficiently with minimal disruption. Support outage and turnaround planning activities.
• Utilize CMMS (SAP/MP2) data to develop, track, and improve maintenance plans. Maintain accurate records of job plans, asset data, and maintenance documentation. Analyze planning and execution data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and contractors to ensure clear alignment on job scope and execution. Communicate effectively to ensure all stakeholders understand job requirements and constraints. Support contractor coordination and ensure compliance with site expectations.
• Utilize CMMS systems (SAP/MP2) to create, manage, and track maintenance job plans. Maintain asset data, equipment records, and maintenance documentation within the system. Support improvements in maintenance planning systems and workflows.
• Support development of asset strategies and maintenance programs for critical equipment. Contribute to long-term reliability and maintenance improvement initiatives. Assist in defining critical spare parts, inventory levels, and reorder strategies.
• Support internal customers by ensuring maintenance work is well-planned and executed with minimal disruption to production. Improve reliability to support consistent product quality and delivery performance.
• Incorporate environmentally responsible practices into maintenance planning activities. Support efforts to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and extend asset life.

What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or execution in an industrial environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP/MP2 preferred) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
