The Opportunity
Join a long-term Defence contract supporting critical fuel infrastructure used by the Australian Army, Navy and Air Force. As the Regional Engineer for Queensland, you'll act as the key engineering contact for the region, working alongside Operations & Maintenance teams, Superintendents and Defence stakeholders to support asset performance, maintenance activities and improvement initiatives.
This is less of a traditional design engineering role and more focused on solving operational problems, building relationships and driving better outcomes. You'll lead engineering investigations, root cause analysis, scope of work, review technical solutions, assess risk and identify opportunities to improve the way critical assets are managed and maintained.
You'll also have the opportunity to develop business cases and present improvement initiatives directly to the client, making this an excellent role for engineers who enjoy influencing decisions and seeing their ideas implemented.
The contract is continuing to evolve, creating ongoing opportunities for growth, development and future progression. UGL has a strong focus on upskilling its people, giving you the chance to broaden your experience and build a long-term career within the Defence business.
