Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

This role drives strategic customer solutions initiatives through data-driven analysis, cross-functional leadership, and strong project execution. The individual will play a key role in shaping the Ally Direct Auto Customer Solutions Strategy, building analytical business cases, influencing prioritization, and leading AI initiatives from ideation through implementation. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership and matrixed partners across IT, Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management, and Operations to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and with high quality.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in consumer finance, data analysis, project management, and governance, along with the communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills needed to influence strategy and execute in a complex environment.

The Work Itself

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present proposals and vision to executive leadership.
  • Deliver solution that accomplishes the business objectives with on-time delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
  • Collaborate with senior management and executive leadership to solidify project objectives and scope.
  • Experience working with (and ability to influence) matrix partners that impact change capability, such as IT, Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management and Operations.
  • Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; should be a critical thinker with strong attention to details.
  • Experience in automotive originations and contract process preferred
  • Key contributor to roadmap for Ally Auto Customer Solutions Strategy and Analytics, and prioritize initiatives working with key stakeholders.
  • Influence the roadmap and priorities of other partner groups by proactive engagement on topics related to customer solutions strategy.· Create project governance artifacts for reviews (tollgates/change requests) and ensure adherence to all Ally PMO guidelines - procedures and software development lifecycle methodology.
  • Comply with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk - Compliance processes and standards.

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics or a similar discipline with quantitative focus, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on data/statistical analysis, ideally experienced in AI initiatives, business case development, and model governance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics or a similar discipline with quantitative focus, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on data/statistical analysis, ideally experienced in AI initiatives, business case development, and model governance
  • Significant experience (5+ years) and knowledge of consumer financing industry (e.g. auto, card, mortgage etc.)
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of data mining and classification techniques, minimum 4 years of experience using SAS/SQL or similar tools for data analysis and portfolio segmentation.
  • 3+ years Project Management experience in an enterprise IT system environment, PMP preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment.
  • Business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a project.
  • Expert knowledge of software development life cycles and Project Management methodologies and tools, specifically MS Project and Clarity.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Financial forecasting and management acumen.
  • Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various stakeholder groups.
  • Resource planning and management acumen.
  • Strong issue resolution and risk management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with executive management.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • MS Office Suite with extensive Project, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills.

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.  Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
