Internship for PCESB Production Ethylene, PETRONAS Chemicals Ethylene Sdn. Bhd. at Kerteh, Terengganu

The intern will undergo structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) within the Ethylene Production Department, focusing on safe plant operations, process understanding, operating discipline, and continuous improvement.
 

1.Process & Plant Operations Support
Assist engineers in understanding ethylene plant process flow (furnace, cracking, compression, separation, refrigeration, utilities interface).
 

2.Assist in basic operating data monitoring (temperatures, pressures, flowrates and etc). utilizing excel and update Power BI Dashboard. 
 

3. Support compilation of simple HSE observations or safety improvement ideas
 

4. Support engineers in:Daily operational logs review
Production data tabulation and basic trend analysis.
 

5. Assist in preparation of: Daily / weekly operational summaries
Simple PowerPoint or Excel-based reports.
 

6. Participate in small-guided improvement or learning tasks, such as:
Basic equipment familiarization (furnace, pumps, compressors, exchangers),Review of operating procedures (L3 OP – for awareness only)
Simple operational study or case review (e.g., energy efficiency, water usage awareness).
 

7. Prepare final learning report and presentation at the end of internship
