The Opportunity
Are you ready to take ownership of a pivotal manufacturing facility that keeps major regional infrastructure moving? This is an exciting, highly autonomous opportunity to manage the daily operations of a crucial backup production plant.
In this role at Holcim, you will lead site operations as a sole operator, meaning you will supervise production, manage site activity, and oversee visiting contractors and hauliers rather than directly managing a team. You will play a key part in maintaining high quality and safety standards, handling everything from concrete batching, customer order entry, and shipping, through to essential routine plant maintenance and stock control.

Alongside full daily plant operation training, we will provide fully funded certifications in mobile plant operation (such as loading shovels), first aid, and fire marshalling.
Who you are
An Independent & Accountable Self-Starter: You thrive in an autonomous, single-person plant environment where you can take complete ownership of daily production, site cleanliness, and operational safety.
A Skilled Communicator & Supervisor: You excel at coordinating people on-site, confidently inducting and supervising hauliers, mixer drivers, visitors, and contractors to ensure optimal productivity without compromising safety or quality.
Customer-Focused & Organised: You are adept at taking customer orders over the phone or face-to-face, accurately scheduling shipments, and maintaining clear stock records and material data.
Safety-Conscious: You hold a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, proactively identifying maintenance needs and keeping accurate site improvement logs.
Tech-Literate & Adaptable: You possess practical IT skills for managing daily administration, spreadsheets, and batching systems, and you are comfortable combining office tasks with hands-on machinery care.
Eager to Learn: While previous concrete, shipping, or mobile plant experience is a plus, you bring the enthusiasm and motivation to undertake full training in plant operations, safety leadership, first aid, and fire marshalling.
