Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Commercial Manager-Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Management Consulting team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will provide critical support in managing commercial and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract planning through post-contract execution. You will work collaboratively with senior management, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency, contract compliance, and successful project delivery.

  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for pre-contract phases
  • Review and evaluate contractor submissions, quotations, and proposals with a focus on commercial viability
  • Assist in contract administration activities, including change order management, claims processing, and contract compliance monitoring
  • Track and monitor project costs against approved budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Prepare detailed commercial reports, cost analyses, and financial summaries for project stakeholders
  • Support procurement activities by analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating commercial terms
  • Maintain organized documentation systems for all contracts, agreements, and commercial correspondence
  • Conduct quantity surveys and measurements to verify work completion and support payment certifications
  • Assist in resolving commercial disputes and claims through thorough documentation and analysis
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between technical requirements and commercial objectives
  • Support the preparation of project financial forecasts and cash flow projections

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or commercial management within construction or engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract management processes
  • Proficiency in cost control, budget tracking, and financial analysis
  • Solid understanding of contract administration and commercial negotiations
  • Experience with quantity surveying software and project management tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex commercial information and present findings clearly
  • Familiarity with construction industry practices and standards
  • Knowledge of contract documentation and procurement procedures
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Preferred: Experience working on projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia
  • Preferred: Familiarity with local Saudi Arabian regulations and commercial practices
