Job Summary:

Determine the strategy, gain buy-in from internal stakeholders and execute the plans with the distributors to gain market share and growth in SouthEast Asia .

  • Understand the local specificities of the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia market.

  • Manage Distributor to drive sales growth and profitability through strategic business planning, KPIs alignment, and operational support (forecasting, order management).

  • Manage GtN, including pricing strategy, A&P budget allocation, and financial performance reviews to align with local objectives.

  • Analyze sales, inventory, and promotional data to generate actionable insights and refine marketing/pricing tactics.

  • Collaborate with regional teams to adapt global initiatives to local markets while monitoring competitor strategies and industry trends.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Distributor Management: In collaboration with PVA and Marketing, 

  • Develop, implement business plans and establish KPI targets with distributor sales groups to ensure targets are exceeded on net sales, volume, operating profit.

  • Ensure Distributors team develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition and Hill’s business initiatives through training, self-study and market evaluation.

  • Establish and assess sales data provided by the distributors and develop and implement regional sales strategies, prioritizing business opportunities and risks.

  • Initiate and implement an improved management of channel effectiveness and call coverage efficiency and ensure compliance of the Hill’s reporting requirements on KPI ‘s.

  • Actively call on key accounts and assist sub and distributors teams in developing and execution of plans where appropriate.

  • Help coordinate implementation of channel marketing initiatives with distributor CD and marketing contacts, to ensure maximum results of initiatives.

  • Contract negotiation and MOU annual renewal

 

7Ps Operation: In collaboration with PVA and Marketing 

  • Monitor and implement Hill’s 7P to maximize PD and SD presence Off and Online 

  • Recommend and monitor the execution of:

  • Merchandising programs 

  • Distribution (Product and Outlet) tracking

  • Shelf and Space Management programs

  • Represent Hill’s at meetings/conferences.

  • Propose and participate to Vet education programs like Webinars, Roadshow, Speaker tours 

  • Ensure constant supply of on equity and relevant brand communication across all touch points

  • Media planning and eCommerce platform resources evaluation during mega promotions 

  • On-going interaction with regional ecommerce/marketing team to deploy global ecommerce /marketing strategy in local market

 

Manage brand P&L 

  • Work with GM/Commercial Finance manager for product margin, pricing strategy , annual A&P, GtN budget plan, brand sales forecast, regular pricing and margin review 

  • Implement global Hill’s key initiatives and where required the adaptation to local trade and consumer environment 

  • Monitor the performance of sales promotions and provides feedback to local management & Hill’s regional office

  • Align on Gtn accruals, manage claims and GtN actuals

 

Reports & Analytics and CS&L metrics

  • Monthly sell-in, sell-out sales and monitor Inventory for forecast planning

  • Monthly A&P report

  • Analyze the key pet food brands marketing strategy, monitor and learn from their good practice

  • Prepare digital marketing and promotion performance analytic data in a timely manner

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • 5+ years commercial experiences.

  • Passion for the pet industry.

  • Ownership and Results oriented.

  • Responsive and resourceful in an agile business environment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Travel Requirements 

Expected percentage of travel:  Up to 50%
