Develop and implement quality plans, budgets, policies, and systems; and supervise quality assurance activities to ensure TE's product quality meets customers' and external agencies' standards within corporate headquarters quality systems, policies and procedures; and relevant local regulations.
Job RequirementsPeople Management:
- Lead the quality control department; allocate and balance work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop, and motivate them; guide and resolve tough people/functional issues in the team; submit manpower applications; interview candidates and provide feedback to achieve the section performance target; retain and develop key talent
- Assure compliance with requirements and optimization of process capabilities to ensure product quality, customer service, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead the team to reduce DPPM, customer complaints, customer return values, and quality cost.
Procedure & Policy
- Check the department policies and initiate policy changes, prepare the related materials, and follow up and monitor the policy execution;
- to ensure the procedures and policies in line with corporate standards are well executed
Budgeting
- Communicate with functional teams and prepare department budget and work plan annually, and compare the expenses with the monthly budget; summarize the result, analyze and report to the department director to propose a practical department budget and conduct effective control
Quality control
- Approve the internal/external deviation requests and 4M changes; organize monthly manager internal audit; monitor the DPPM performance and co-ordinate activity to improve DPPM.
- Approve the supplier classification and the critical claims to manage supplier quality within required standards.
- Periodically review the in-process quality targets and quality cost, and initiate quality meetings to resolve the critical quality issues to ensure in-process quality meets required standards and reduce quality problems within the production in-process.
Documentation Control
- Review and approve the quality-related documents as working instruction, inspection plans; evaluate deviation risk and monitor the execution.
Quality issue - Guide the engineers to solve on-site quality issues and take preventive actions; help to solve cross-functional issues and evaluate and balance the quality, delivery, and cost to solve quality issues promptly and prevent similar cases from happening.
- Lead problem-solving of supplier-related defects, lead supplier improvement initiatives, analyze manufacturing and supply chain quality data, and lead the problem-solving activities.
Quality Improvement
- Initiate and monitor the monthly cross audit, review the results and follow up on corrective actions; review the department 6 sigma improvement monthly; and monitor the engineers' conduct of daily quality improvement to drive continuous quality improvement
Reporting
- Prepare the operation performance report
- Collect and analyze the quality-related data; and report to the DND BU Quality Team in a timely and accurate manner to management and related parties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Major in engineering
- 8 ~ 10 years of working experience in the quality area, including 2 years of people management
- Effective bilingual
