Reporting to the VP People & Culture, you'll lead the Total Rewards function across ANZ, partnering closely with our global Strategic Education Inc. Additional Benefits

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements supporting work-life balance

  • Salary packaging options including novated leasing and superannuation salary sacrifice

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Discounted private health insurance and wellbeing initiatives

  • Corporate discounts across retail, travel, entertainment and fitness

  • Annual leave purchase scheme and paid study leave

  • Employee recognition programs

What You'll Do

You'll lead the Total Rewards function across ANZ, ensuring remuneration and benefits programs are aligned to business strategy while providing expert advice to leaders and delivering exceptional employee outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of remuneration frameworks, job architecture and salary structures.

  • Manage annual remuneration review cycles including planning, system configuration, communications, analysis and reporting.

  • Develop and enhance employee benefits programs across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Provide strategic remuneration advice to leaders, HR and executive stakeholders.

  • Deliver market benchmarking and salary analysis using external market data.

  • Build and maintain remuneration governance, policies and pay frameworks.

  • Lead remuneration analytics, reporting and workforce insights to support business decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with remuneration legislation, governance requirements and internal policies.

  • Drive regional Total Rewards strategy including internal equity, gender pay equity, incentive programs, career progression and pay transparency initiatives.

  • Partner with global Total Rewards teams to implement regional and global initiatives.

What will make you successful

You'll bring deep expertise in Remuneration and Total Rewards, but just as importantly, you'll be comfortable working in an environment that is evolving. You won't wait for perfect processes—you'll build them. You'll enjoy moving between strategic thinking and operational delivery and won't hesitate to get involved wherever needed.

You'll likely have:

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) leading Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits or Remuneration functions in a complex organisational environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into practical business solutions.

  • Experience designing remuneration frameworks, job architecture and salary review processes.

  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships across all levels.

  • Experience working across regional or global organisations, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures.

  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the resilience to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.

  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to build capability while delivering outcomes.

  • Experience leading projects, driving change and balancing strategic priorities with operational execution.
