We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join the Asset Management team and provide a real benefit to the resilience of BNZ’s Technology. Working alongside our Platform and Product owners, you will build a complete view of our critical currency and timelines around remediation. You will use your strong analytical skills to present your findings in a way that lets the facts speak. 

We sat down with the Platform Manager – Asset Management and they let us know some more about the role. 

What do you want candidates to know before they apply?  

This is a heavily analytical role. Your core responsibilities will be validating and providing data insights across our critical software components for senior leaders to consume. You will need to be data driven and able to provide metrics and evidence to ensure the best decisions and priority calls are being made.  

What will the successful candidate be doing to day? 

• Leading the planning, coordination and execution of asset and enterprise level currency plans and processes. 

• Partnering with technology modernisation programs to ensure planning address current and future currency issues. 

• Monitoring and analysing currency plans against actual positions and reporting compliance gaps.  

• Designing and delivering a roadmap to uplift currency management processes end to end.​ 

• Partnering with application and infrastructure teams to verify currency plans and adherence.​ 

• Supporting the Service Owner(s) to maintain evidence of compliance for all regulated and internal control requirements.​ 

• Developing and maintaining documentation, dashboards, and reporting for management and audit review. 

What specific skills and experience are you looking for? 

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations or similar. 

• Proven experience leading or executing currency management. 

• Knowledge of software and infrastructure life cycles and support positions. 

• An understanding of control and risk management methodologies. 

• Deep analytical and reporting capability with strong attention to accuracy and traceability. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

• Experience working in a regulated financial or enterprise environment preferred. 

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). ​ 

• An ITIL 4 Foundation certification is a bonus
