Summary

The Clerk II is a valuable member of our (CABS) Child Adolescence Behavioral Health Service team who is responsible for a variety of clerical duties utilizing a high degree of independent judgment, problem solving and initiative. 
 
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has 

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer skills with active listening 
  • Excellent typing and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Patient, calm, understanding, and maintains confidentiality 

Schedule hours: 37.5 hour a week 
  • Monday - Friday (9:00am-5:00pm)
  • Some remote work possible
Examples of duties
  • Performs various clerical duties which may include client opening and closing procedures, computerizing and reporting data, correspondence and reports, fees, filing, inventory/ordering supplies, photocopying, faxing, and deposits.
  • Provides assistance to the clinical staff/MDs regarding general client needs.  
  • Check in and check out clients.
  • May serve as receptionist for the program, which includes answering the telephone, scheduling client appointments, collecting client payments, and directing calls, as needed.
  • Obtains signatures, copies, and information to verify third party coverage and process client billing.
  • Provides atmosphere of customer service in assuring that clients and co-workers are treated in a friendly and respectful manner. Displays positive attitudes and behaviors in the accomplishment of job duties. 
  • Responds to inquiries, gives appropriate information and referrals, and documents, if necessary.
  • Acquires and utilizes knowledge of LCHD/CHC database, word processing, and NextGen software and other equipment commensurate with position.
Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Requires 1 year of general office experience.
  • Spanish-speaking a plus.
