Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed,non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Under the direction of the Medical Group Director, the Business and Industry Clinic Supervisor oversees the operations of the Registration team while training and assuring the work quality of the Registration Team. She/he creates a high-quality service to patients, providers, payors and staff for services relating to registration, insurance eligibility, financial, insurance and demographic information are captured accurately. Will also have oversight of daily point of service collections and banking deposits workflow. This position will always display customer service excellence to not only our patients but to staff and our internal – external customers.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supervise the daily work activities of CRMC Clinic Registration including pre-registration, benefit verification, registration for inpatient and outpatient services, and service pre-payment to ensure daily operations are maintained according to policy.
  • Creates and maintains an ongoing staff schedule and tracks time off requests.
  • Train and coach staff for optimum performance in a constructive way by following our Human Resources policy.
  • Coordinates team meetings and agenda to ensure staff are informed.
  • Will analyze team members workloads to ensure that load leveling occurs due to job tasks and special projects.
  • Liaison with patients for positive patient experience with accurate billing, establishing, payment plans, financial assistance, billing.
  • Assist with resolution of registration issues, along with audits to ensure front end denial issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Privacy and company policy.

The Business and Industry Clinic Supervisor assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
  • Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
  • Working knowledge EMR, payer contracts, HIM and admissions/registration practices
  • Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required.
  • Associate degree in business, Healthcare Management or related field, preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role. Healthcare environment of any kind would be preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ supervisory experience, preferred.
