DPL is looking for motivated and commercially strong individuals for the position of Business Development Executive – Cloud Services . The selected candidate will engage prospective clients, identify cloud-related business opportunities, and communicate how DPL’s cloud and AWS capabilities can address client requirements.
The Business Development Executive – Cloud Services will support business development activities for DPL’s cloud and AWS services, including lead generation, qualification, client engagement, and opportunity coordination.
This individual will be responsible for generating qualified cloud leads, building and maintaining a strong prospect database, nurturing prospects, qualifying opportunities, and coordinating with internal technical and pre-sales teams to move opportunities forward.
The role requires prior experience in selling AWS consulting services or similar cloud consulting services. The candidate should understand how to identify cloud opportunities, communicate the business value of AWS/cloud services, manage outbound outreach, support partner-led sales, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
This is a customer-facing role that requires regular interaction with prospects, clients, partners, and internal teams.
Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and optimize business development campaigns for DPL’s cloud and AWS services.

Generate qualified leads for AWS consulting, cloud migration, managed cloud, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, cloud security, cloud cost optimization, and application modernization services.

Build and maintain a high-quality database of prospects, customers, partners, and cloud-related accounts.

Run targeted outbound activities through LinkedIn, calls, email, referrals, partner introductions, and other relevant channels.

Create and manage lead nurturing activities to engage prospects and convert them into qualified opportunities.

Use tools such as Apollo, HubSpot, Pipedrive, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms to manage lead flow and track sales activity.

Work closely with the Growth Team and technical teams to align on campaign messaging, target audience, and cloud service positioning.

Qualify prospects based on business need , budget, authority, timeline, and cloud readiness.

Identify potential partner-led opportunities through AWS ecosystem partners, referral partners, technology companies, and strategic alliances.

Research relevant AWS partner programs, cloud ecosystem contacts, and potential collaboration opportunities.

Participate in discovery calls where cloud or AWS-related requirements are discussed.

Capture client requirements, current infrastructure challenges, cloud pain points, timelines, and next steps.

Coordinate with internal technical teams for estimates, solution input, proposals, and technical clarification.

Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on outreach activity, qualified leads, pipeline, campaign performance, and revenue opportunities.

Monitor cloud market trends, AWS ecosystem developments, and customer needs to keep outreach and messaging relevant.

Maintain CRM discipline by updating lead status, meeting notes, follow-up dates, opportunity stages, and next steps.

Ensure consistent follow-ups with prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Marketing, Management, IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable institution.

2–4 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, account development, or demand generation within a technology firm.

Experience selling AWS consulting services or similar cloud consulting services is required .

Prior experience in cloud migration, managed cloud services, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, cloud security, or IT services sales will be preferred.

Proven ability to generate qualified leads and support sales pipeline growth.

Experience with outbound sales, LinkedIn outreach, calls, email campaigns, referrals, or partner-led business development.

Strong understanding of cloud business development and the ability to explain cloud services in simple business language.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and target-driven environment.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Analytical and data-driven approach to lead qualification , campaign performance, and pipeline tracking.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with sales and marketing automation tools such as Apollo, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools.
