General Dentist – Warwick, Queensland
Make a real impact in regional Australia while enjoying an outstanding work-life balance! Are you a passionate General Dentist looking for a role where you can focus on quality patient care, mentor the next generation of dentists, and enjoy a lifestyle that leaves your weekends free?

Griffith University is seeking a General Dentist to join our modern dental clinic in Warwick, Queensland, on a 5-year fixed-term contract. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with teaching in a supportive, collaborative environment without the pressures of private practice ownership or weekend work.

Why join us?

  • Salary of $170,000 – $190,000 base plus 17% superannuation (commensurate with experience)
  • Monday to Friday – no weekend work
  • 5-year fixed-term appointment offering long-term stability
  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive academic and clinical team
  • Help shape the future of dentistry by mentoring final-year dental students

About the role
Based at the Griffith University Dental Clinic in Warwick, you'll provide high-quality general dental care while playing an important role in educating Griffith's fifth-year dental students. During teaching periods, you'll supervise students delivering comprehensive patient care across a broad range of dental disciplines, helping them build the confidence and clinical skills they need for professional practice.

Outside teaching periods, you'll focus on providing exceptional general dental care to patients from the Warwick and Granite Belt communities.

This role offers the best of both worlds; clinical practice combined with education in a collaborative university environment.

About you
We're looking for someone who:

  • Is registered as a General Dental Practitioner with Ahpra
  • Has experience practising as a dentist in Australia (a minimum of two years is desirable)
  • Has a genuine passion for providing outstanding patient care
  • Enjoys mentoring and supporting developing clinicians
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Values collaboration, professionalism and continuous learning
  • Is excited about becoming part of the Warwick community
  • Has an interest in supervising and mentoring dental students, with previous student supervision experience highly regarded but not essential.

Why Warwick?
Located just two hours from Brisbane, Warwick offers an exceptional regional lifestyle with affordable living, excellent schools, welcoming communities and easy access to the beautiful Granite Belt wine region and national parks.

Whether you're looking to escape the city commute, relocate with your family, or simply enjoy more balance in your life, Warwick offers the opportunity to build both a rewarding career and a great lifestyle.
