In TE Connectivity, We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization, including Operational Service Centers focused on critical trade services. This new role is for an Analyst in the Duty Savings Operational Service Center (OSC), which is responsible for supporting centralized core activities to manage Customs Duty Payments and Savings projects and shared services in all locations where TE operates.
This role will be responsible for executing key aspects of the Duty Savings OSC, delivering centralized management of Duty Savings tariff mitigation, free trade agreement through the GTS FTA toolset, duty drawbacks, anti-dumping compliance, and other aspects related to duty savings to support TE's operations.
Key responsibilities relate to the Duty Savings OSC include but are not limited to program execution, training, and systems deployment and optimization. The role reports to the GTS DM TSC EMEA Regional Manager, joining a team of global trade professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of the business by providing business solutions for compliance with global trade laws and regulations.

• Validating and processing Supplier Declarations both within the GTS FTA tool, approving and uploading supplier provided declarations, verifying their compliance with the relevant Morocco FTAs.
• Retrieval of EU Supplier evidence, such as invoice declarations or EUR.1 preference certificates and validating documents into supporting EU and Morocco bilateral cumulation.
• Monitoring and processing supplier responses in the TE FTA Solicitation email Inbox
• Prioritisation of key suppliers by working with supply chain or contacting the supplier to obtain preferential and evidence of origin.
• Assisting suppliers with connecting and using GTS FTA online app and enabling them to register with the TE supplier portal.
• Proactively interrogating non-qualifying preferential products and where possible, making the necessary actions to enable preference qualification.
• Responding to customer requests for preference documentation, enabling the preference status of parts where possible, being the key contact to the customer service and sales teams across the BU’s on duty mitigation subjects.
• Managing the process of presenting preferential status on goods exiting the manufacturing zone and entering the logistics zone.
• Collecting and maintaining critical information to enable the oversight of duty saving activity occurring within the region.
• Establishing relationships with Business Unit GTS team members and other functional leaders in the businesses to assist on duty savings opportunities.
Success in the role requires self-management, priority planning, creative problem-solving skills, strategic analysis and planning capabilities involving complex situations, highly developed oral and written communication skills in English, communicating to external suppliers and customers in a professional manner and the ability to communicate issues internally.
In addition, successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree required (international relations, supply chain, law or related field preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in international trade, focusing primarily on trade compliance and management of customs and duty savings programs
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in communications, industrial, or transportation industries
• Functional knowledge of customs, free trade agreements and free trade zones, bonded warehouses, and other topics related to duty savings in multiple jurisdictions
• Proven ability to build trust and work with a variety of business groups in a dynamic global organization
• Highly developed decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to execute and provide results despite challenges and setbacks
• Excellent organizational habits and priority management
• Customer focused with a commitment to quality and compliance
• Some travel may be necessary in fulfilment of responsibilities
• Fluent in both English and French
