Key Accountabilities:
1. Technical Support: Draft pre-tender documents and technical specifications for projects; prepare and review project construction plans; develop construction schedules, quality management plans, and safety management protocols; and perform other technical support tasks related to projects.
2. Support Functions: Assist the project manager in project management; be responsible for procurement technical documentation for renovation and expansion projects involving factories, furnaces, and industrial facilities; support other project engineers in completing their tasks; and handle preliminary supplier registration.
3. Project Implementation: Ensure that renovation and expansion projects for factory buildings, furnaces, and industrial facilities comply with national and company standards and regulations; be responsible for project design, planning, and technical requirements; monitor key quality and schedule milestones; assist in resolving issues affecting the project timeline; and ensure on-time project delivery.
4. Process Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of project contractors to verify compliance with EHS regulations, provide recommendations for corrective actions, and ensure that project activities meet requirements.
5. Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication and coordination with other engineers within the team, direct supervisors, and heads of cross-functional departments; communicate effectively with contractors to foster positive working relationships
6. Project Handover: Organize final acceptance inspections with all in-house departments prior to project delivery to ensure that all metrics meet design requirements and relevant technical specifications
7. Document Management: Responsible for organizing and archiving all project-related technical documents, drawings, as-built records, and operating manuals
8. Safety Management: Ensure contractors receive relevant EHS training; conduct project risk assessments and implement safety response measures; strictly enforce safety regulations and the company’s EHSA operating procedures
9. Ensure conduct complies with national laws, regulations, policies, and the company’s relevant codes of conduct
Experience:
1. 5 or more years of experience in the construction or engineering of industrial plants, pipelines, furnaces and kilns, steel structures, etc.;
2. Proficient in construction processes and technical specifications for industrial plants, pipelines, furnaces and kilns, steel structures, etc.;
3. In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management;
4. Extensive experience in construction cost estimation and cost review;
5. Extensive experience in project quality, safety, and schedule management;
6. 3 years or more of work experience at a carbon company, with extensive experience in the construction and selection of carbon furnaces and equipment;
7. A diligent and proactive work attitude and strong communication skills;
8. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering;
2. Proficient in systematic control methods and management processes for project schedule, quality, safety, and cost;
3. Excellent skills in construction organization planning, drawing review, and on-site technical problem-solving, as well as outstanding coordination, communication, and negotiation skills;
4. Proficient in using software such as AutoCAD and Project;
5. Basic knowledge of SAP;
6. Good English reading and writing skills.
