As our Private Sector Engagement & Impact Finance Advisor – Asia, you will play a pivotal role in expanding CARE's influence across the region by building commercial partnerships, mobilizing innovative finance, and leading our flagship Made by Women (MbW) initiative.
This is more than a fundraising role. It is an opportunity to shape how one of the world's leading humanitarian and development organizations works with business, investors, and social enterprises to create systemic change for women and communities.
International candidates who will be deployed to Thailand for the duration of their assignment under international terms and conditions.
Candidates based in any of the CARE ASIA Countries - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Laos, East Timor, Pakistan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, who are eligible to work under a national contract in their country of residence, with the ability and willingness to travel as required.
About the Role
Reporting within CARE Asia, you will provide strategic leadership for the Made by Women (MbW) initiative while driving regional private sector engagement and impact finance efforts across Asia.
You will identify, pursue, negotiate, and close partnerships with corporations, investors, social enterprises, and industry leaders—transforming CARE's technical expertise into commercially viable, fee-for-service partnerships that generate both revenue and impact.
Success in this role is measured not simply by relationships built, but by partnerships secured, investments mobilized, and sustainable opportunities created.
What You Will Do
Lead a Regional Flagship Programme
Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Made by Women Initiative across Asia.
Ensure strong operational, financial, and program performance while delivering measurable impact.
Guide country teams to design high-quality programming that advances women's economic empowerment.
Collaborate closely with CARE's technical experts and country offices to strengthen regional programming.
Monitor performance, evaluate results, and continuously improve programme effectiveness.
Build High-Impact Private Sector Partnerships
You won't wait for opportunities—you will create them.You will:
Develop and execute CARE's regional private sector engagement strategy.
Identify opportunities across sectors including apparel, agribusiness, financial services, technology, and other high-growth industries.
Build trusted relationships with corporations, business networks, and industry associations.
Lead commercial negotiations from initial outreach through signed fee-for-service agreements.
Package CARE's technical capabilities into compelling service offerings that organizations are willing to invest in.
Consistently cultivate and manage a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic engagement.
Unlock Innovative Finance
You will help shape new ways of financing development by:
Mapping Asia's impact investment and social enterprise landscape.
Connecting women-led enterprises with investors, mentors, and market opportunities.
Identifying blended finance opportunities and innovative financing models.
Engaging impact investors, development finance institutions, ESG teams, and philanthropic partners.
Developing investment cases and resource mobilization strategies that secure long-term funding.
Working across CARE's global network to grow sustainable financing opportunities.
Strengthen Regional Knowledge & Influence
You will also:
Advise country offices on private sector engagement and innovative financing.
Build internal capability through tools, training, and knowledge sharing.
Lead a regional Community of Practice focused on partnership development and deal-making.
Capture and communicate learning, success stories, and evidence of impact.
Represent CARE at regional industry, investment, and policy forums across Asia.
