Full Time Shift Day Work Schedule Summary Monday – Friday 8-5 – 1/2 time hybrid VP Area U of U Health - Academics Department 00879 - Radiology Research Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $50,000-$58,000 Close Date 10/19/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the University of Utah is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our Research and Interventional Radiology team. The candidate will have some medical background and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adhering to regulations of the conduct of clinical research via experience with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is essential. Responsibilities Will coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities including preparing and interacting with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), study costs/budgets, study protocols, GCP and applicable regulations. Implement processes and organize efforts within study team to achieve objectives, coordinating research procedures, study visits, and follow-up care. Create and maintain tools and documentation to track study metrics, providing updates to faculty and department. Conduct pre-study, stie qualification, study initiation, monitoring visits and close-out activities. Maintain source documents and report adverse events. Recruit, screen, enroll, and obtain consent from study participants. Overseeing assigned studies from study initiation, through conduct and closeout. Setting up data collection tools, mainly using RedCAP. Interfacing with University of Utah’s Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) OnCore. Collect and maintain patient, laboratory data and regulatory binders.. Work directly with study participants, serve as project liaison to other departments, and outside organizations. Work under the direction of Principal Investigators (PI) and department administration. Requires moderate skill set and profiiency in disciplline. Conduce work assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a health sciences or related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with two years professional research experience and completion of University RATS Clinical Certification within one year of hire required. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA, HIPAA and IRB regulations; an understanding of research procedures; and the ability to function independently is preferred.

Preferences Requires bachelor’s (or equivalency) and 2 years of related work experience. Previous experience with industry sponsored studies, investigator-initiated studies and medical imaging studies.
