Technical Officer (Ref: 260000EQ)

Responsibilities

• Support the development of smart engineering projects by applying data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning technologies
• Support the collection, processing, and review of engineering data to improve asset reliability and performance optimization
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify key performance indicators, collect data, and analyze it to gain insights into system performance
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports to automize visualization of engineering data, equipment conditions and performance trends 
• Support monitoring of project progress, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and handling technical and site issues
• Actively exploring and applying emerging technologies to enhance engineering efficiency and reliability
   

Requirements

• Degree/ Higher Diploma in Engineering, Computer, IT or Data Science
• A minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
• Solid knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, SQL, C++) is preferred. Familiarity with user-centered design principles would be an advantage
• Understanding the latest smart technologies in engineering, including cloud platforms e.g. AWS and artificial intelligence, is a plus
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and innovative with a strong commitment to teamwork 
• Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred
• Knowledge of railway or rolling stock systems is an advantage

Remarks

• Candidates with strong practical experience but lower academic qualifications may also be considered
