We are looking for positive and reliable kayak guides who have professional kayak leadership qualifications to work in Adventure Ground by Sólheimajökull. In the role, you’ll lead groups in Sit-On-Top kayaks on a stunning glacier lagoon. Work is organized according to a 7-7 shift schedule, and accommodation is provided during work weeks. This is a temporary position from July to mid October, but exact start date is flexible.

Main tasks:
- Guiding kayaking trips on Sólheimajökull lagoon and related tours in the area.
- Working according to the company’s environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintenance and management of equipment used by customers.
- Other related tasks.
Education and skill requirements:
- Professional kayak leadership qualification, e.g. BC Paddle Sports Touring Leader, BC Sea Kayak Leader.
- Valid wilderness first aid course (Wilderness First Responder preferred).
- Valid B driver’s license is required.
- Good spoken English skills are mandatory.
- Excellent customer service attitude and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude towards shared responsibilities and active participation in the day-to-day running of the housing.
- Positivity, neatness, and punctuality.
- Independent, proactive, and organized work habits.
- Advantageous to have: Drysuit experience and experience repairing them, have completed Whitewater Rescue Technician course and AIMG Hard Ice 1.
