SummaryResponsible for assisting the head coach of one of the intercollegiate athletic sports programs provided by the College.

- Recruits quality student/athletes.
- Attends all fall and spring practices/games/matches and assists in game strategies.
- Promotes assigned sport by prompt and accurate score reporting to the local media.
- Applies discipline in a firm and positive manner as outlined in the Student Athlete Handbook.
- Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) rules and regulations.
- Provides leadership skills, teaches and motivates student/athletes to be academically and athletically successful.
- Works actively with fundraising, promotions, and marketing.
- Helps develops a successful camp/clinic program.
- Monitors student/athletes’ academic progress and participates in obtaining academic assistance if necessary.
- Keeps individual team, statistics, and records as required.
- Supervises and maintains athletic facility as assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Standard High School Diploma or GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to travel as required.
- Playing or coaching experience with the assigned sport
- Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS
- CPR/AED certification required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution
