WHO
we’re looking for:
We are seeking a Data Collection Technician to join our team.
Role
and Responsibilities:
- Collect robot teleoperation and navigation data using predefined experimental protocols.
- Operate robots, grippers, and teleoperation devices.
- Set up and calibrate cameras, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Help set up computer vision annotation pipeline.
- Ensure synchronization of vision, robot state, and sensor data.
- Document experimental conditions, maintain accurate records and verify data quality.
- Organize, label, upload, and maintain detailed records about collected datasets.
- Perform routine hardware inspections and report equipment issues.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of robotics software and hardware.
- 2+ years prior experience working with robots (manipulators and humanoids) and 1+ years experience working with teleoperation systems is required.
- Overall 3-5 years professional experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree - Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
- Prior experience with Mechatronics and working with sensor systems is preferred.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
