About the Role:

We are hiring a FinOps Engineer to bridge our central FinOps team with business units, engineering, and finance. You will own end-to-end cloud cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP — from daily monitoring and anomaly detection to commitment management, dashboards, and stakeholder partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor multi-cloud spend daily; detect anomalies and lead root-cause analysis.
  • Drive optimization initiatives — rightsizing, RI/Savings Plans, MAP, and architectural improvements.
  • Manage Azure RI and RI/SP purchases end-to-end across clouds.
  • Provide commercial advisory for reseller agreements and procurement decisions.
  • Build and maintain FinOps dashboards, KPIs, and custom automations.
  • Own budget management, cost allocation, and forecasting for assigned business units.
  • Lead FinOps reviews with engineering, product, and finance stakeholders.
  • Advise on new project designs to embed cost-efficiency from day one.
  • Deliver FinOps education sessions to elevate cloud cost-awareness across the org.

Requirements

  • 4 years in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) — pricing, billing, and commitment models.
  • Proven experience managing RI / Savings Plans end-to-end.
  • Strong analytical skills — Excel, SQL, and large-dataset analysis.
  • Experience with FinOps tools (Cost Explorer, Umbrella, Azure Cost Management or similar).
  • Solid financial acumen — budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, allocation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Advantages:

  • FinOps Foundation certification (FOCP / FOCE).
  • Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight).
  • Experience with AWS MAP or other cloud migration programs.
